Engineering Education Abroad Grant

A limited number of $500-$1,000 grants are available each year for students (U.S. residents only) actively enrolled in an engineering degree program who plan to participate in an education abroad program. Applications for awards will be considered and reviewed until funds are exhausted. While priority will be given to semester-long experiences, shorter faculty-led experiences will be considered pending available funds and alignment with the associated engineering degree program of the student.

Students must receive academic credit for their education abroad and it must be part of their engineering degree program of study at K-State. In addition, please bring a completed, signed copy of the Education Abroad Academic Approval Form (pdf) to the Dean's Office, 1046 Rathbone Hall. Upon completion of this application and submission of the signed academic approval form, students will be notified of their scholarship grant status.

If selected to receive the Engineering Education Abroad Grant, the amount will be funded to the student's KSIS account upon return and after submitting a brief report documenting locations traveled, courses taken, key activities or attractions, challenges experienced and/or recommendations as applicable, along with six relevant photos of your trip, as it relates to the experience. Student input will be used to further enhance the Education Abroad Excellence Program and may be asked to participate in a future education abroad travel forum.
