- K-State receives NRC funding for Nuclear Engineering Fellowship Program
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has funded a new Nuclear Engineering Fellowship Program to provide financial support and mentoring to at least three Kansas State University nuclear engineering doctoral students.

Carl and Melinda Helwig have invested in the naming of the Carl and Melinda Helwig Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. On Friday, April 23, the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering will celebrate this naming in the Helwigs' honor.
- K-State senior awarded national scholarship from Associated General Contractors of America
Matt Forbus, senior in construction science and management, has been awarded a scholarship from the Associated General Contractors of America's Education and Research Foundation.
