Student Assistance

The Kansas State University Carl R. Ice College of Engineering is committed to upholding the K-State Principles of Community, which foster an inclusive and respectful environment for learning and creative inquiry. It is important to understand rights and responsibilities in regard to the university's discrimination and harassment policies. The following resources and courses of action are available to anyone experiencing a situation, in or out of class, which seems inappropriate or uncomfortable.

Disability support, referrals and access

The Academic Success Center provides support for students needing disability support, referrals and access. For questions about student access, including learning disability support, physical access, counseling and support for veterans and nontraditional students, contact Keleigh Schettler, Academic Success Center coordinator.

Counseling services

K-State Counseling Services is here to help you clarify problems, identify resources, and expand your options. They provide confidential, short-term, focused counseling to currently enrolled K-State students. 

Financial assistance

For students with questions about financial aid, the Office of Student Financial Assistance is available to help.

Other resources

Students may also choose to speak with their instructors, other faculty members or department heads to inform them of any inappropriate or uncomfortable situations they have experienced. The following individuals and offices are also available for this purpose:
