John A. Angold Graduate Engineering Scholarship

Background

The John A. Angold Engineering Scholarship was established by Art Grix Jr. and Linda Angold Grix of Gold River, California. The endowed fund honors the memory of John A. Angold, EE '38, who retired after almost 42 years with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.

Purpose

To provide financial assistance to the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University for student support.

Eligibility

Recipients of the scholarship will be graduate students in good standing at the university, majoring in any curriculum within the college, whose area of study relates to the railroad industry, transit or transportation, and must be enrolled full time during the award period. The scholarship is for one year and can be renewed once during a degree program. Scholarship recipients will need to reapply for the second year of the scholarship.

Application process

Nominations for this scholarship will be collected in the spring of each year. The selection process will be completed during the summer so funds will be awarded starting in the fall semester of the following academic year.
