The Multicultural Engineering Program student advisory board, Engineering Student Council and the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering have partnered to host the seventh Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit.

Keynote speaker

Cynthia Hampton, Ph.D.

"Flourishing on the Cusp"

Cynthia Hampton is postdoctoral research fellow for the Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity, or CEED, at Virginia Tech. She assists in developing grant and research proposals that link the practice-based initiatives in CEED to research and impact-based funding strategies, at the local and regional scale. Prior to returning to Virginia Tech, Cynthia served more than three years as a lead research associate for the Center for STEM Learning and the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Boulder.
