Research Activities and Support
The Engineering Research and Graduate Programs, or ERGP, office provides services to increase sponsored project funding for research, education and outreach for the college; initiates quality, multi-disciplinary research development; and cultivates a community of engaged faculty, scholars and research leaders.
ERGP is committed to providing the following:
- Tools, resources and procedures for PreAward Services
- Proposal preparation assistance for all college faculty
- Facilitation of major grant program solicitations
- In partnership with the Office of Research Development (ORD) and K-State Innovation Partners and faculty, identification of interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary programs for highly competitive funding opportunities conducive to both college and university areas of strength, building collaborative teams across campus and providing proposal preparation leadership to include value-added planning and coordination
- Resource support and encouragement for tenure-track and new faculty through research orientation resources, FAQs site for research administration processes, and availability of staff to guide and direct faculty in their proposal development and preparation activities
- Liaison services to university-sponsored project offices including the K-State Office of Research Development, PreAward Services, and K-State Innovation Partners
- Promotion and support of on- and off-campus events for faculty through ORD calendar of events, workshops and training, as well as other campus research-related events
