Engineering International Experience Grant
As travel advisories and warnings remain at elevated levels due to COVID-19, Kansas State University has canceled all fall 2020 semesterlong education abroad programs. For more information, visit the K-State Education Abroad website.
A limited number of $500-$1000 grants are available each year for students (U.S. residents only) actively enrolled in an engineering degree program who plan to participate in an education abroad program. Applications for awards will be considered and reviewed until funds are exhausted. While our priority is for semester-long experiences, shorter faculty-led experiences will be considered pending available funds and alignment with the associated engineering degree program of the student.
You must receive academic credit for your education abroad and it must be part of your engineering degree program of study at K-State. In addition, please bring a completed, signed copy of your Study Abroad Academic Approval Form to the Dean's Office, 1046 Rathbone Hall. Upon completion of this application and submission of your signed Academic Approval Form, you will be notified of your scholarship grant status.
If you are selected to receive the Education Abroad Scholarship, the amount will be funded to your KSIS account upon your return and after you submit a brief report documenting where and when you traveled, what courses you took, key activities or attractions, challenges experienced, and/or recommendations as applicable, along with six relevant photos (JPEG) of your trip, as it relates to your college experience.
Your input will be used to further enhance our Education Abroad Excellence Program, and it is hoped you will be able to participate in a future Education Abroad Travel Forum.
